The wellbeing of our tenants and staff is our priority and our office remains closed with staff working from home to deliver services to tenants and customers. We aim to minimise the impact this will have on tenants, however we thank you for your patience and understanding during this challenging time.  Our staff phones are diverted and should be answered as normal however please let us know if you are having any difficulty getting in touch.

Your Wellbeing

Latest information and advice about Coronavirus can be found at or If you don't have symptoms and are looking for general information, phone the free helpline on 0800 028 2816.

If you’ve developed symptoms (however mild) in the last 7 days, stay at home for 7 days from the start of your symptoms and arrange to be tested. Do not go to your GP, pharmacy or hospital.  You should remain at home until you get the result of the test, and then follow the advice you will be given based on the result.

WSHA Service Update (22nd July 2020)

Office & Community Centre 
We continue to follow Scottish Government guidance and all of our staff continue to work from home with our office and Barrowfield Community Centre closed to the public. We aim to reopen our office to staff on a rota basis when non-essential offices are allowed to open, currently proposed in phase 3. Please note at this stage we will also reopen partially to tenants and customers on an appointment basis only. More information will provided be before we reopen.

Repairs Service 

We are pleased to announce that we will be restarting internal non-emergency repairs from Monday 10th August.

We have a backlog of repairs which we will be undertaken from 27th July. However, as you will appreciate, our contractors and repairs team need to time to deal with these and get the work carried out before we can resume a full service.   
If you have previously contacted us with a non-emergency repair that has been logged by our staff you will be contacted shortly to make access arrangements.
For tenants who have a repair that they haven’t yet reported we will be processing these repairs from Thursday 6th August with an expectation to begin arranging for these to be attended week beginning Monday 10th August.
We would ask that you please do not contact us to request an internal non-emergency repair until Thursday 6th August given the need to complete the backlog before we can instruct further internal non-emergency repairs.
All contractors and staff will be wearing appropriate personal protective equipment  and will adhere to health and safety requirements to ensure your and their safety at all times.

From Monday 29th June all lettings other than mutual exchanges will restart, subject to Scottish Government guidelines. Staff will work on the lettings that had to be stopped during lockdown and be in touch with applicants who received an offer but could not proceed. If this applies to you, please be patient as we have a number to work through. A further update will be provided when mutual exchanges can start again.
Communal Cleaning

We have been working closely with our cleaning contractors to ensure they can start cleaning the communal areas in your building again, but in a way that is safe to you and their operatives. Having received this information and being reassured it is safe to do so, along with the improved situation related to Coronavirus, we are now ready to restart cleaning the common areas again.

From week commencing Monday 27th July 2020 the contractor will start cleaning in your building. They will make every effort to do so with minimum disruption to you while keeping themselves and you safe. It is best if you try to avoid entering or leaving your building while they are on site but if you have to, please ensure you keep a minimum distance of 2 metres from their staff and follow the guidelines from the Scottish Government you are no doubt already familiar with (more information here -

Your service charge/factoring charge will be amended next year to account for the reduced service you received this year. If you have any questions about this or any other matter meantime, please feel free to contact us

Whilst in some circumstances our frontline staff may not be able to physically visit you during this time. You can still report any general estate management issues to us and we will try our best to resolve these via the phone and email. We understand that the coming weeks may have an impact on the income of some of our tenants and customers. If you feel you will have difficulties paying your rent then please contact us so we can assist you.

Service Charges

For tenants who pay charges for services such as close cleaning and grass cutting, we are aware that you are not currently receiving these services. It is very important to realise however that your current charges are largely based on the previous year’s services provided so next year (from April 2021) you can expect a significant reduction in what you will be charged.
