You can exchange (swap) houses with other tenants as long as certain conditions are met. You can exchange with other tenants of the Association or with tenants of any other social landlord if that landlord agrees. Exchanges involving more than two tenants (3-way or multiple exchanges) may also be allowed.
The main conditions for exchanges are:-
- All tenants must have clear rent accounts.
- All tenants must have satisfactory tenancy records.
- The properties must be the right size and type for the people who will be moving into them.
Remember, if you are interested in a mutual exchange, you must not move until you have written permission from us and have signed your new tenancy agreement with your new landlord.
