As the charitable subsidiary of West of Scotland Housing Association (WSHA), Willowacre Trust’s overarching aim is to tackle social and economic disadvantage within the communities served by WSHA.

Willowacre Trust plays a fundamental role in the delivery of specialist support and wider community services including the Handy Person Service, which primarily supports tenants aged 60 and over with minor upgrading within their home.

You will provide day to day support to the Service, under the supervision of the Handy Person.  You will undertake a wide variety of minor home improvements   within tenant households and assist with collection and delivery of white goods and furniture as part of our upcycling project. The work includes various joinery tasks, room painting and garden maintenance, as well as completing daily/weekly checks including health & safety, cleaning, and maintenance.

You will have a knowledge of general maintence, repair and home improvement tasks, along with excellent customer skills and an approachable friendly manner.  Flexible and adaptable, you will need a driving license to drive Company van to tenant properties throughout Glasgow and central Scotland. You will maintain written records and a good working knowledge of health & safety processes would be an advantage.

In return we offer a friendly, inclusive environment and a good remuneration package with 40 days holiday.
