Corporate Management Team

Simon Fitzpatrick, Chief Executive Officer

Simon has been Chief Executive of West of Scotland Housing Association since April 2025.

Simon has spent the last ten years as Commercial Development Director and latterly, Chief Executive at Blackwood Homes and Care. Prior to that he held senior roles in the third and private sectors in Asset Management. Simon has a post-graduate Diploma in Housing Studies and is a chartered member of the CIH.

Robert Campbell, Director of Housing & Community Services 

Robert has been Director of Housing & Community Services at West of Scotland Housing Association since 2020 and has over 30 years experience in Housing. 

A law graduate and member of the Chartered Institute of Housing, he has held senior roles in both local authority and housing association settings, with extensive experience in housing management, homelessness, community & support services and large scale regeneration.

Kerry Clayton, Director of Corporate Services 

Bringing over two decades of experience in Scotland's housing sector, Kerry will join WSHA's senior management team in spring 2026 as Director of Corporate Services, overseeing the corporate governance of the Association, with a remit encompassing governance and compliance, human resources and organisational development, IT and digital transformation, and risk management. 

Most recently serving as Chief Executive of TIS (Tenants Information Service), in her early career Kerry specialised in housing management before pivoting to focus on corporate governance. She enjoyed over five years as part of the corporate team at Elderpark Housing Association, including three as Governance and Compliance Manager.

Karen Shaw, Director of Development & Asset Management  

With over 30 years’ experience in the housing sector, Karen began her career at Bearsden & Milngavie District Council as a trainee housing officer before moving to East Dunbartonshire Council where she worked for 20 years in housing management, delivering a stock transfer of council homes to a local RSL, regenerating communities and kick-starting East Dunbartonshire’s new build programme. Over the last 5 years at WSHA she has delivered over 350 new affordable homes for the Association in role as Development Manager.

Valerie Wilson, Director of Finance 

Valerie worked in sales, marketing and general management before specialising in finance.  She worked as a Finance Director in the private and third sectors before joining Atrium Homes and moving into the social housing sector.  

Valerie joins West of Scotland Housing Association from Cloch Housing Association where she was Depute CEO.  She is passionate about the sector and also sits on the Boards of Maryhill Housing Association and GWSF.
