Renewable Heat Project nominated for Scottish Home Award

We're really pleased to announce that we've been shortlisted alongside our partner Warmworks in the Community Contribution category of the 2026 Scottish Home Awards for our Renewable Heat Project in Cumbernauld.

The Renewable Heat project upgraded 36 homes at our Hill Road retirement complex in Cumbernauld with air source heat pumps, solar panels and battery storage.

Kevin Boyle, Senior Asset Officer at West of Scotland Housing Association, said:

We were delighted to partner with Warmworks on this project. The quality of work delivered was outstanding, and every property has benefitted from an improved EPC rating. This has resulted in warmer, more sustainable homes for our tenants.”

We've had fantastic feedback following the upgrades, with many tenants saying the heating system has greatly improved their quality of life, and that they would recommend Warmworks to family and friends:

It’s wonderful. It’s a lovely heat and the house isn’t damp anymore. I would highly recommend it; it’s been great.” - Mrs G, tenant

Congratulations to all the other finalists! The Scottish Home Awards take place on Thursday 18th June in Glasgow. Find out more
