You’re invited! BUILDING THE FUTURE - An all-day celebration with West of Scotland Housing Association

Emirates Arena, 1000 London Road, Glasgow G40 3HG

Tuesday 16th September, 11am-4pm 

We’re celebrating six decades of housing you call home – and looking forward to the next 60!

The culmination of our summer of celebration, Building the Future will take place from 11am-4pm at Emirates Arena Glasgow. It will be a drop-in style day, so you can pop along whenever you’re free, but we recommend setting aside an hour or two to make sure you can chat to everyone you want to.

What’s happening on the day: 

The Marketplace 

Your chance to come along and learn more, with a number of stalls from WSHA Housing services, Willowacre Trust community services, alongside many of our partners, including: 

• Glasgow Life

• SAMH (Scottish Action for Mental Health)

• Alzheimer Scotland

• WSHA Tenant Advisory Group

• The Wellbeing Hub (who will be offering free short wellness treatments throughout the day!) 

Innovation Rooms 

Open throughout the day, the Innovation Rooms are drop-in spaces that will showcase some of the innovative ways WSHA are working to future-proof social housing and ensure value for money for our tenants. 

Come along and learn more about: 

• Artificial Intelligence – learn more about how we’re using AI to improve customer service and improve the efficiency of all our services

• Our award-winning development programme – Learn more about the building and regeneration projects upcoming or currently underway in your area

• Energy Efficiency and Net Zero – we’re industry leaders in using new technologies to make our houses safer, warmer, reducing our tenant’s bills and carbon output. Come along and sample some of these new technologies for yourself.

Raffle

There will be a raffle and you could be in with the chance of winning gift vouchers from Itison, Amazon,  and supermarkets; or a food hamper, a Gtech cordless vacuum, a Samsung Galaxy tablet and much more. 

Prizegiving

We’re excited to present prizes for a number of compeitions thatw e[‘ve been running throughout the summer, including our ever-popular Gardening Competition. We’ll also be recognising our neighbourhood-nominated Diamond tenants for the positive impact they’ve had in their communities. 

Free lunch (12.30-1.30pm) and refreshments will be served throughout the day
