Do you know a Diamond Tenant?

To celebrate West of Scotland Housing Association’s 60th anniversary we want recognise an outstanding tenant who embodies our values and has made a really positive impact in their neighbourhood -  a Diamond Tenant!. 

Who can be nominated?

• Nominees must be a current tenant of West of Scotland Housing Association who has held their tenancy for a minimum of five years

• Nominations can be submitted by neighbours, staff or community members or the person themselves

What makes a Diamond Tenant? 

There are lots of ways someone could be a Diamond Tenant. We're looking for nominees who demonstrate one or more of the following: 

Pride in their home, for example:  

Maintains their property to a high standard. 

Enhances the appearance of their home or communal areas (e.g., gardening, cleanliness, decorating). 

Community spirit,  for example:  

Supports neighbours, especially vulnerable or elderly residents. 

Organises or helps with local events or initiatives. 

Positive contribution to the environment 

Going green! For example:  

Promotes greener living within the neighbourhood. 

Kindness and empathy, for example:  

Known for their helpfulness, reliability and generosity. 

Has gone above and beyond during difficult times (e.g., COVID, cost-of-living crisis). 

 Tenant involvement,  for example:  

Actively participates in tenant groups, consultations or feedback sessions. 

Advocates for improvements or better communication on behalf of other tenants. 

 

How to nominate: 

If you have someone you would like to nominate, please complete the short nomination form here. Or you phone or email the Customer Service Team on 0141 550 5600 or customer.service@westscot.co.uk, and tell us why you or your nominee deserves the Diamond Tenant Award.

How we'll pick a winner: 

Closing date is Sunday 3rd August at 5pm. 

A panel made up of tenants (Tenants Advisory Group) and Board members will review nominations at the beginning of August. Finalists may be interviewed or visited by a panel representative. 

The wiinner of our Diamond tenant award will be announced at the beginning of September 2025 and invited to an award presentation at our 60th Anniversary Celebration on Tuesday 16th September. 

What will the Diamond Tenant win?

  • Diamond Tenant trophy or plaque. 
  • A £100 gift voucher. 
  • A feature in Westworld, our tenant newsletter, the West of Scotland Housing Association website and across social media.
