WSHA were recently approach by a student accommodation provider Vita, as their preferred affordable housing partner for their new build student accommodation project at India Street in the City Centre of Glasgow. The proposals are at a very early stage and are subject to planning consent and securing grant funding however, we're excited to have this opportunity to contribute to the creation of more affordable housing within Glasgow City Centre.
The affordable housing element will consist of 20 one and two bed flats within a self-contained block with separate access, private gardens and no parking. Given the town centre location and close proximity to student accommodation, these are expected to be Mid-Market rent flats, amanged by Westscot Living. Vita are looking to deliver this project in 2028.
