WSHA raise over £11,317 for Beatson Cancer Charity

WSHA raise our largest ever corporate charity total for Glasgow's Beatson Cancer Charity, presenting a cheque for over £11,317 to help support those affected by a cancer diagnosis and their families.

The Beatson is a charity close to many people's hearts and we had a really busy year of activities to rake in the pennies! We entered a team in the Edinburgh Kiltwalk; adrenaline junkies flew on a 100 meter zipslide over the Clyde or took the plunge with a cold water swim; or, for those who preferred to stay warm and dry, we had a duvet day where staff came into work in their jammies and enjoyed some free wellbeing therapy sessions. We rounded out the year with a bucket collection at the local Fort shopping centre, where we wrapped up in our warmest jackets and Santa hats and entertained punters whilst collecting donations from festive shoppers.

Joyce Ross, Partnerships Fundraising Manager for the Beatson said:

'A huge thank you to WSHA for your overwhelming support throughout 2024. It’s been an absolute pleasure to have worked with you and to hear all about your fundraising activities and you didn’t hold back! You certainly put the FUN into fundraising!'

For 2025, WSHA staff have chosen to fundraise for Alzheimer Scotland, Scotland’s national dementia charity, We can't wait to get stuck into fundraising for this great cause.
