WSHA raise over £7,300 to support those living with dementia across Scotland
West of Scotland Housing Association were delighted to be able to present 2025 corporate charity Alzheimer Scotland with a cheque for £7395 this week, reflecting a fantastic year of fundraising activity by the WSHA team.
Throughout 2025, the West of Scotland team took part in a host of fundraising activities for Alzheimer Scotland including: walking the 14-mile Glasgow Kiltwalk, flying over the Clyde on a 100-metre zip slide and donning hard hats to abseil down the Falkirk Wheel. There were also a range of fundraisers for less adventurous colleagues, including a fantastic line dancing lesson organised by Line Dancing at Jaxon’s and the always-popular Duvet Day, where staff came into work in their jammies and enjoyed some complimentary wellbeing sessions – donating for the privilege of course. WSHA rounded out the fundraising year with a bucket collection at the local Fort shopping centre, where the team wrapped up in winter woollies and Santa hats and entertained festive shoppers whilst collecting donations, joined by popular Glasgow busker Francis Bond.
