Apply for a transfer

If you are already a WSHA tenant you can apply to move to another WSHA home at any time, this is known as a transfer. Contact our friendly customer service team to discuss this by calling 0141 550 5600 (choosing option 3), or emailing customer.service@westscot.co.uk.

To help you, we'll need the following info: 

  • Who is currently in your household? Please provide names, ages and gender
  • Why would you like to move?
  • Where would you like to move to?

How do WSHA assess transfer applications?

Your transfer application will be assigned a band based on the circumstances in your home. Read more about our banding system here

    We keep applications for transfer on a separate list from new waiting list applications. This means that your application for transfer will be assessed against other WSHA tenants in similar circumstances.

    It is important to note that only a small number of homes will be offered to transfer applicants, so it may be some time before we can make you an offer of housing.

    Please note that if you are in rent arrears, owe any other money to the Association or have a poor tenancy record you will not normally be offered another house until those things are sorted out or you are maintaining an arrangement to repay.
