Stock Condition surveys are now underway

WSHA are currently carrying out Stock Condition Surveys on all of our homes.

We do these surveys every five years. Stock condition surveys offer us a thorough understanding of your home’s condition, helping us make informed decisions about its care and investment - this is why it’s important that when you’re contacted, you allow us access to your home.

  • Why do we do these surveys?

Allowing us access to your home to carry out this survey helps us to understand the current condition of your property and any areas that may require attention.  It also helps us plan our maintenance programs, making sure we have the correct information and data to be sure major components are being upgraded/replaced within the recommended timescales.

  • What happens in a survey?

When our stock condition officer is in your home they will carry out an inspection to assess the overall condition of the building and its key components, (eg, windows, kitchens, bathrooms, roofs, etc). They will also be making sure your home is safe and is compliant with safety regulations, i.e, smoke alarms, gas, electrical systems, or issues with damp and mould.

A stock condition survey can take between 30-60 minutes depending on the size of your home. This is a good opportunity for you to speak with our stock condition officer and let them know of any issues or concerns you have about your home - although you should still be reporting any repairs in the usual way.

If you have any questions about stock condition surveys or would like to report any repairs in your home please contact Customer Service on 0141 550 5600.
