In early 2023, WSHA issued a survey to all our tenants asking for your experience of the cost of living crisis, what you were struggling with and how we could help. We received over 700 responses - the most responses ever received for a WSHA customer survey.
These responses helped us develop a cost-of-living action plan of immediate and longer term support we could provide to best meet our tenants’ needs at this critical time. This action plan involved our entire organisation, particularly the Community and Support Services team, based within Willowacre Trust.
In the subsequent year we put this plan into action, revisiting our organisational objectives and staffing capacity, establishing new projects and funding lines and providing focussed support to nearly 400 tenants who had reached out to us via the survey.
We have now produced a report on this year of cost of living support activity: what you told us, how we responded in the immediate circumstances and how we will continue to support our tenants.
